I sat my BCMSN exam today and passed, but not only did I have to produce 2 forms of identification they also took my photo and I had to make a physical signature on a digital pad. This photo also appeared when I started the exam and was printed on my result. Apparently this changed 2-3 months ago.

Wow, looks like Cisco are finally taking the security and protection of their exams seriously at last!
This is to combat against the thousands and thousands of people who pass by merely braindumping. Glad to hear it's changed at long last, well overdue. Thanks for the info Harry and congratulations on passing the BCMSN, a job well done! Thanks, Stuart. |

I had it too when I took my BCMSN at XMas. (2 down - 2 to go!)
I think the photo / signature thing is to combat people not who braindump but to ensure the person taking the test is in fact the person they say they are. It's quite common in places like China to get fake ID & for a fee sit the exam for someone else. Braindumping can only be stopped by changing the format of the exam and rotating the questions more frequently. (CISSP for instance has a pool of over 6000 questions and you sit 250 from that pool.) |
